2022 Norway; part 1: Bergen – Trondheim

Happy to finally be on the road again. After a long day with a lot of waiting I arrived on time in Bergen (No) ๐Ÿ™ I could send the cardboard box by mail to Alta – last destination of the trip. Then I was glad to turn the legs a bit, 20km went in the rain ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚ to the center…. Perhaps it is surprising for some friends, the first day begins not in the saddle ๐Ÿ˜‚ ..sightseeing of the city “Bergen” and a small rain hike ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ˜” at the local mountain “Flรธyen”.

Bergen – Trondheim #1

Conclusion at the start; a lot of water ๐Ÿ˜‚ Many beautiful lakes and streams, unfortunately also from above a lot ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ˜”

Had to get how to use the Norwegian roads; on the one hand.. ๐Ÿšณ – see picture – on the other hand the bumpy cycling paths ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ฌ

After the first ferry, fortunately, it became much easier. Small roads, little traffic, ..just roads which I liked ๐Ÿ™‚

And as you can see, the weather has unfortunately not changed ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Luckily I’m in a nice warm hotel with good dinner incl ๐Ÿบ

Bergen – Trondheim #2

Conclusion to the day 2; fortunately I am not with the tent on the way. Today continuous rain ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ˜” and with 10-12 degrees rather fresh.

I sent a few bike clothes (short) back home, because you’ll get wet rather from the rain than from sweating ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ The hotels are very good, often spacious rooms, ..incl. heating and / or hair dryer ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘ ..drying the washed bike clothes goes very well. Now I enjoy the evening in the dry, ..with food and ๐Ÿบ …in the background listening the raindrops ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Bergen – Trondheim #3

Just exactly 2.85 km I was not getting wet from above, ..in the tunnel between Lote and Nordfjordeid ๐Ÿ™ˆ In addition, temperatures between 7 and 10 degrees… ๐Ÿ™ˆ

The weather forecast looks a little better for the next few days ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ If it does rain again tomorrow, I’m thinking of taking the bus to Trondheim ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป

Bergen – Trondheim #4

According to the weather forecast it should have stopped raining at about 9h, but finally I started at about 10.30 in the rain, and rode about 2 hours in the rain again ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Look at the photo 4.3! Switzerland could learn from Norway about “bike friendliness” ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘ ..and then, ..the highlight of the day, ..I could take off the rain pants ๐Ÿคฉ ..๐Ÿ‘‰ and cycle the first km without rain pants ๐Ÿ™

On the ferry to Molde – the destination of the day’s stage – the weather unfortunately looked different again. At dinner, the rain is forgotten and northern impressions remain ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘

Bergen – Trondheim #5

The longest planned day trip with 156km is ridden. The tailwind blew me with 27km/h average through the Norwegian fjord landscape ๐Ÿคฉ Fortunately little rain, but unfortunately hardly sunshine.

I had to buy the food for dinner and breakfast 60km before the daily goal. No hotel nearby and on the campground was no possibility to buy food or drinks. But it’s quite a cozy cabin ๐Ÿ˜Š

Bergen – Trondheim #6

Conclusion at the finish of the part “Bergen – Trondheim”; lots and lots of water from everywhere ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ˜”๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™ˆ Today, I rode to Trondheim again in persistent rain and fresh temperatures…. ๐Ÿ™„

And also in Trondheim ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ˜”๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ™‚๏ธ

Bergen – Trondheim 6.3

Now there’s first 2 days break ๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿท๐Ÿน
